2016 Influenza Vaccinations

All MedStar Health associates, physicians, residents, students, volunteers, contracted staff, and vendors are required to receive the influenza (flu) vaccination by December 7, 2016. While the flu vaccination marathon concluded this week, physicians also can obtain a free flu vaccination from:

  • All Occupational Health offices across the system
  • Unit rounds in high-volume patient care areas
  • Peer immunizers
  • MedStar PromptCare locations (proof to be provided to Occupational Health by associate)

A valid MedStar ID must be presented in order to receive a free flu vaccine. If you are unable to receive vaccination due to medical contraindications and/or religious exemptions, you must submit an Influenza Vaccination Exemption Form by Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016. For more information about influenza vaccinations or to obtain an Influenza Vaccination Exemption Form, visit http://starport.medstar.net/go/EveryoneCounts.

The contact center also closely monitors contact center metrics to ensure that Service Level Agreements are maintained. During fiscal year 2016, the contact center exceeded each of its target service level metrics that were established at the outset of the program.

  • Service Level (% of calls answered in 20 secs or less) = 84% (Goal Service Level = 75%-85%)
  • Average Speed to Answer = 29 seconds (Goal Speed to Answer = 25-35 seconds)

Kyruus Scope of Practice Surveys are Due

Scope of practice surveys are due Monday, October 31st. Your participation in this survey—which only takes about 20 minutes to complete, and is pre-populated with your Contact Center protocols—is of the utmost importance.  The data collected will fuel MedStar’s efforts to improve and augment our physician database through a new program called ProviderMatch.™

This solution, designed by experienced healthcare partner, Kyruus, will result in a consolidated, detailed and accurate provider database, containing information about each provider’s training and practice locations, specialty and a robust overview of his or her scope of practice, among other data components.

The survey asks you about which clinical conditions you see patients for so we can match you to the correct patients.  If you have not yet submitted your survey for review, please check your email for your personal survey link to determine which conditions/procedures fall within your scope of practice.

If you have any questions, please see Les Matthews. For technical support, please contact [email protected].
